Two big caveats along w/ two thumbs up, August 21, 2011 This review is from: Cooling Blanket Made with Outlast® (Queen - Laurel) 1--Due to sensitivity to scents, I wash nearly everything before wearing or using. After sleeping w/ this for a few nights I thought it would be wisest although not strictly necessary to do the so. I washed per directions which includes using no fabric softener and drying it on NO heat. I could have chosen a gentler cycle though, I now see. I could not believe the amount of pulls and pieces stuck at the bottom of the washer in its holes (who knows how much more washed out in the water). HANDFULS! And then the dryer! I collected more than 3 cups of lint from one blanket! While I don't see any holes, clearly each wash makes it much thinner, and there are some substantial pulls. Another owner warned me that they do shrink some too even when washed per directions. I'll see how much when I get one back on the bed. If you are apt to washing your blankets much at all, be forewarned that these are unlikely to hold up. If, however, like me, you will wash them once and then probably... Read more
